Slim

Slim is a general-purpose programming language resembling SETL. It is more like a cousin to SETL than a child, since it shares a common heritage with SETL, but was independently designed.

The major differences between Slim and SETL are that

• Slim introduces an innovative type model.
• Slim supports object-oriented programming.
• Slim is a smaller language.
• Slim is still being developed.
• Slim is entirely in the public domain and accessible via the Internet.

Some of the points mentioned above also apply to direct descendants of SETL. Slim differs from these chiefly by being somewhat smaller, offering a type model and being less proprietary.
